Sand Dunes
Sculpture
Sand Dunes
Made to hold the slow movement and quiet expanse of a wind-shaped horizon in timber.
01 — Story
Purpose, material, and presence.
We used the side view as the primary reading of the work, layering maple to describe a horizon shaped by wind. Each lamination remains visible so the making process reinforces the slow movement of the profile.

Care / Maintenance
With a little attention, the surface will continue to deepen gracefully over time.
Dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills promptly with a lightly damp cloth, then dry the surface. Avoid abrasives, standing water and prolonged direct heat. Refresh the oil finish when the timber begins to look dry; seek professional care for deeper marks or repairs.
